Every year the BMW CCA Festorics comes together as a singularly spectacular event at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca celebrating motorsports the way it should be, surrounded by your fellow enthusiasts in a fantastic setting. I can say for certain that a key ingredient in the success of this Festorics is the tireless efforts of our volunteers; those at the event and those that help throughout the year getting it ready.

Dedicated, sleep-deprived volunteers descend on the scene at the crack of dawn to perform their wide variety of essential activities: hanging banners, setting up parking layouts, chairs and tables, orchestrating the incoming hordes of BMWs into formation in the corral, keeping a watchful eye on the cars and the gate to our private hospitality area and checking in all the attendees.

We wanted to thank you for your continued commitment and we appreciate your tireless donation of time and talents. The traditional “volunteer only” shirt or cap, offered as a small token of our appreciation, should be worn proudly since it signifies a job well performed by an elite group.

It always gives me a proud feeling of accomplishment to see the beautiful sight of the dew covered sandy parking lot as it morphs into the luxurious display of BMWs.

Oh and by the way, volunteers don't have special powers, or access to the track and can't commandeer cool race cars at will; basically the only exclusive thing we offer for your services, is an annual volunteer shirt or hat. Just in case that makes you think twice about volunteering.
